As with all kids, I liked to draw and paint, but I never thought about painting seriously until I turned twenty-five. By that time I had gotten a master’s degree in applied math and worked as a software engineer, so I found a year-long night course in drawing and painting, but only 15 years later, when I finally tried oils, painting turned into a real passion. For years I combined painting with a full-time job, and since I preferred to paint from life, still lifes were my main genre because they could be painted in the evening. Since 2019, I have painted full time, and around that time I started trying my hand at plein air painting.
